Katy Perry surprises fans with an original back tattoo
Pop diva Katy Perry continues to intrigue fans with hints about her upcoming album 143. Since June, the singer has been teasing the new project, and each week brings more hidden references to the album.
One such “Easter egg” was her appearance at Paris Haute Couture Week this summer. Katy appeared in a bright red mini dress with a massive train adorned with the text of her then-unreleased single “Woman’s World.”
But the surprises didn’t stop there. At the MTV Video Music Awards, where Perry received the prestigious Video Vanguard Award and performed a medley of her hits, including the new single “I’m His, He’s Mine” in a duet with Doechii, she left fans with another mystery.
The singer’s stylish ensemble at the event featured a tattered cream top and a long skirt by Who Decides War, complemented by shimmering body oil and a wet hair effect. But the most interesting detail was hidden on her lower back: a small tattoo in the form of a QR code.
Attentive fans who noticed the tattoo conducted some online sleuthing and scanned the code. It turned out the QR code leads to a page where you can pre-order the new album 143, as well as access vinyl records and exclusive merchandise.
