As the new NBA season approaches, LeBron decided to commemorate his latest achievement with a fresh tattoo on his inner forearm. The Olympic rings, symbolizing his victories, were tattooed by the famous artist Joaquin Ganga in Los Angeles. The process was captured and shared on social media, where fans could see the legendary athlete calmly adding another meaningful symbol to his body art collection.

LeBron joins the ranks of many Olympians who have memorialized their achievements with the rings, but having one of the most recognizable athletes in the world join the trend makes it even more significant. Joaquin Ganga, known for his work with numerous celebrities, shared a video of the session, captioning it: “Tattooing the Olympic rings for the king @kingjames. Thank you, bro.”

James, 39, has now competed in four Olympic Games — in 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2024. His first appearance earned him a bronze, followed by three gold medals. In Paris, he also had the honor of being the flag bearer for Team USA during the opening ceremony, a moment that was particularly special in the later stage of his career.

LeBron emphasized how significant this year’s Olympics were for him. “I’m 39 years old and heading into my 22nd NBA season,” he told reporters after Team USA’s win against France. “I don’t know how many more opportunities like this I’ll have… to compete in big games and for big things — and tonight was one of those moments.”

The upcoming NBA season, which begins on October 22, will see James make history once again as he plays alongside his 19-year-old son, Bronny James, for the Los Angeles Lakers. They will be the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA.

LeBron is no stranger to using tattoos to express his feelings and commemorate key moments. Among his other tattoos is a serpent dedicated to the memory of the late Kobe Bryant, a testament to the people and events that have shaped his journey. By sharing these personal symbols, James continues to inspire millions of fans, showing that significant achievements can be worn not just in the heart, but also on the skin.
